Tried and tested in the ‘Monti Pallidi’ – the Italian Dolomites, the Alp Trainer 2 Gore-Tex® is a low-cut alpine hiking and trekking shoe built for increased comfort during rugged alpine use on long mountain days.

Solid protection
Designed to offer solid protection, the robust leather upper is made from high-quality suede and backed with a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane and a full 360° rubber rand for additional rock and scree-resistant protection.

Full comfort
Our proprietary, trademarked 3F System enables a precise, supportive and wrapping fit. Its steel cable ensures firm ankle support and lateral stability, while the Climbing Lacing allows adjustment right down to the toe for better performance on rock. The EVA midsole provides superior cushioning and excellent comfort for a technical shoe.

Enhanced grip & traction
Underfoot, the Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole, which is exclusive to SALEWA®, provides enhanced performance and control in a wide range of mountain terrain and also excels in wet and muddy conditions thanks to its dedicated climbing, traction and braking zones and aggressive lug pattern.

Dwihts and Salewa Mens Alp Trainer Goretex

The trail shoes have yet to be tested on terrain they are designed for, but i bought them on the recommendation of someone who has worn them for many hundreds of kilometres through the Alps and long-distance walking trails over three years and swears by them.

Dwight's are a good company to deal with and have knowledgeable staff.

Having worn my new Salewa Men's Alp Trainer shoes everyday for the last 10 days since purchasing I can honestly say they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I look forward to exploring the wonders of nature in them for many years to come. Plus they even look great as a going to work shoe. Great all rounders and very well made.
