Can't beat down for warmth.

This was an upgrade from the previous Rab Ionosphere 5.5, which wasn't warm enough. This has an interesting construction with internal foam blocks head and tail, presumably to keep the down in place. That makes it slightly bulkier. No big deal. Tested just once so far (I've only had it a week) on a 5-degree night in the tent, verdict: snug as a bug in a rug. Can't beat down for warmth.

Love this mat. So warm and sooo comfortable! When you leave a lil air space its so soft, luxurious, and supportive! You can sleep anywhere with it and it feels amazing. Make this your new hotel bed!

A hotel mattress that fits in your pack

Super comfy and crazy worm mat even directly on the snow. It is not a ultralight mat not even a light mat but if good sleep is your goal it’s a luxury item that will earn its spot in your pack.
