Coleman Event 15 Deluxe Shade Sunwall

I have a 5+yo Event 14, which is an excellent camp kitchen. This Event 15 replaces our old 'tarp and poles' dining shelter (for 10-12 campers) with something more sturdy, and, something I don't have get up to batten-down at 2am! During my back lawn trial run, all went well for the erection but whilst taking it down I noticed that a couple of the side T pieces looked skewiff. Two of them had rotated on their respective side frames by about 15/20 degrees. A round-head fixing screw is located at the base of a recessed hole in each plastic T piece and the length of the roofing frame has a lot of leverage over it. The low-headed screws were forced underneath the surrounding plastic. A pity these screw-heads aren’t about 6-8mm tall. I didn't want a refund/replacement, for an ‘out-of-production' item and, given it’s a well-designed concept, I’ve installed two additional round-head self-tapping screws up underneath each of the plastic T pieces instead. They’re screwed fully through the plastic and metal tubing (per the photo), thus providing a much better resistance against rotation of the T pieces on the shaft. So far so good and, hopefully, it’ll last for many years now.

On a couple of other points though; the design of the carry bag for this Event 15 is not as good as my older Event 14’s bag. The 14’s bag has two external full-loop webbing straps around it (they’re thin, but they’re there). This provides two reasonable grab-handles for easy transportation of this kit. It also…
