This is the third pair I have owned. On average I get 2-3 very hard (eg Dusky, Stewart Island, Richmond Ranges, Northern Circuit Ruapehu). Not a long term option but dry and comfortable. Replaced inner soles with a gel, high density foam foot plate, definitely makes a huge difference. I have US14, high arch, medium width feet. Break in over a month before each hike, only blisters was on the very lengthy beach walk of Masons Beach Stewart Island. So did everyone else on hike. Another tip, I spray them with CRC Silicone spray from new , allow to dry, before wearing them
