Its great
The mat is slightly on the heavier side but such an important part of the sleep system to stay warm at night. I’m also very cold so the mat is vital.
The Hypersphere 9.5 represents the culmination of four decades of down expertise, seamlessly blended with the advanced technologies developed for the brand’s lightweight sleep mat range. This thick, down-insulated sleep mat delivers exceptional warmth and plush comfort, making it an ideal companion for high-altitude bivvy or expeditions into polar extremes. It look like RAB one has better material than relevant (2020) EXPED down mat (R=7).
I used RAB mat recently for two nights on snow near Koziosko and happy with its performance.
Please be aware that it takes twice longer time to inflate down inflatable mat and I strongly recommend to use recharable pump (say, FLEXTAILGEAR Portable Air Pump with 3600mAh Battery at $38 from Amazon.com.au) rather than RAB bag.
Certainly RAB mat is much cheaper ($280 at dWights is the best price in the world) than EXPED ($400 best price in Australia in 2020). I own plenty of RAB down items (batura jacket, zero jacket, down pants, etc), all obtained from UK online shops) and I am always happy with RAB quality. Hope, my new RAB mat will serve me for a long time.
Most comfortable and warmest sleeping pad I have ever tried!!
Dwights Outdoors was easy to deal with, will buy from again.
Easy to inflate. I'm looking forward to my first use soon.
