One Planet Summit -10 Synthetic Bag (1415 Grams)
The Summit Synthetic series is robust, easy to look after and warm even when damp. Designed for entry level walkers, general camping and outdoor education students, this affordable synthetic sleeping bag has a focus on low weight and compact pack size. It’s available in two temperature ratings: -5 M (+1 F) °C or -10 M (-4 F) °C ISO 23537.1 lower limit of comfort and three sizes. The tapered shaped and half-moon footbox is complemented by a full-length YKK #5 zip with anti-snag cover. Made from 10 D Vapour Vent V2 fabric, it’s filled with multiple layers of thermally-bonded Thermolink for maximum warmth.
The Summit is the updated version of OESB and SAC sleeping bags.
Features
- The tapered roomy shape offers versatility and comfort without restricting movement
- A half-moon shaped foot-box is wide, comfy and cosy
- Thermolink insulation uses hollow-core fibres and thermal bonding for excellent warmth-to-weight and durability
- Contoured hood cinches tight to trap warmth around your head while leaving space for the nose and mouth
- A draught tube along the zip insulates the zipper area, keeping warmth in.
- Full-length side zip from hood to ankle: a YKK #5 with locking slider and innovative, anti-snag cover. (This zip allows it to be easily opened from the ankle for effective venting)

HOW WARM WILL I BE?
ISO 23537-1 temperature testing provides a temperature limit at which a “standard male” or “standard female” will sleep in thermal equilibrium (have a comfortable night’s sleep).
Both the ‘standard male’ and ‘standard female’ are based on a 25-year-old who is fit and healthy. If you’re older or younger, you may sleep colder than the ‘standard’, so we would recommend considering a warmer bag. Your other equipment (sleeping mat, pillow, tent style) the environment (weather, location) and your biology can affect warmth over the night.
THE IMPORTANCE OF INDEPENDENT ISO 23537-1 TESTING
Each ONE PLANET OESB synthetic sleeping bag is temperature rated in accordance with the International Organisation for Standardisation 23537-1 (Requirements for sleeping bags). This is the only globally recognised standard for the temperature testing of sleeping bags, and gives ratings for both females and males. Testing sleeping bags to ISO 23527-1 allows users to make informed, educated and accurate decisions.
The ISO 23537-1 testing methods allows objective comparisons of the warmth of different shapes (Box foot, Zip foot), sizes (small, regular and large), fill quality (synthetic fill, 700+ down fill power or 800+ down fill power), construction and design.
Not all manufacturers test to this standard, nor do they give information about how they arrive at their temperature ratings. As a result, care should be taken when comparing claims of warmth.

THERMOLINK
Thermolink synthetic fill is light and warm, incredibly durable, and naturally hypoallergenic. It is made up of multiple thermally-bonded layers, making it strong, giving it class-leading warmth-to-weight, and eliminating the need for sewn-through stitching (and the accompanying heat loss). The inner layer is made up of fine, soft fibres that contour to the body. The middle layer uses larger hollow fibre for loft and insulation, with a thermal barrier made up of high-density fibre on the outside.

WARM WHEN WET
The insulative qualities of Thermolink fibres are not affected by moisture, so the ONE PLANET OESB synthetic sleeping bag will keep you warm even when wet. Inside each synthetic ONE PLANET bag are thousands of Thermolink hollow-core fibres, each of which has been heat-sealed at both ends, creating pockets of air within each fibre. These pockets trap warmth even when the sleeping bag is saturated, keeping you cosy all night long.

BAFFLE-LESS CONSTRUCTION
Thermolink fibres are thermally bonded to form structural sheets. We craft these into sleeping bags by shaping them into sleeping bag forms.
The thermal bonding of the fibres keeps the fill securely in place without baffles. This improves insulation and warmth and reduces overall bag weight, creating a product that performs better and lasts longer. Cleaning is simple: Thermolink is very durable and can be washed in any standard washing machine.

Vapour Vent v2
The Vapour Vent (V2) fabrics are lightweight, breathable nylon with Non PFC water-repellent treatment that promotes hands-free moisture management.
The smooth fabrics are light and warm to the touch, ideal for use on multi-day journeys. The tight weave and high thread count ensures they are ‘downproof by construction’. The majority of our bags use the silky, light, 10-denier version both inside and out, while some use the more durable 20-denier option.

ZIPS
Every detail counts. We use YKK #5 locking zips with an anti-snag slider. The anti-snag covers make jamming zips a thing of the past, while the YKK #5 zip is more reliable, durable and lasts longer than lower-gauge zips.
Using a locking slider stops the zip from creeping open, so it will stay where you want it to for a good night’s sleep.

Design Philosophy
Our design innovations have led the way since 1980, both locally and globally. Our sleeping bags are designed after careful consideration of real sleep – how we lie, move and lose warmth – and real people, with ranges made to fit females and males of all shapes and sizes.
ONE PLANET sleeping bags combine 40 years of manufacturing experience with world-leading materials, modern scientific testing and the passion to keep improving.
